New-York based Garner Health is a technology service provider that partners with employers to provide doctor recommendations based on specialty, procedure, and geography by analyzing medical data to eliminate ineffective care and reduce medical costs over the long term. Employees can use Garner Health’s mobile app and web platform to search for doctors, procedures, and symptoms. Users are also covered for out-of-pocket costs by their employers. Garner Health claims that its selection process is independent, unbiased, and only based on medical insurance claims. Garner Health provides concierge service through phone, chat, and email. 

Founded in 2019, Garner Health employed 15 staff members serving over 10,000 members across 30 states as of February 2021. The company plans to expand its employee base by 8-10 staff by the end of 2021. In December 2021, the company raised USD 45 million in a Series B funding round led by Redpoint Ventures, which brought its total funding to approximately USD 65 million. The funds will be invested in its scorecard service for doctors and providers that help primary care physicians in making referrals to specialists. The funds will also be used to grow its client base of nearly 100 companies across 47 US states, as well as enhance its data science and analysis capabilities.
