Adapdix is known for its “EdgeOps'' platform, which optimizes the use of AI and machine learning (ML) for edge applications.

The platform is noted for its innovative approach in identifying anomalies and automating solutions, catering to companies seeking AI-enabled performance improvements. It incorporates three main offerings: EdgeOps Core, EdgeOps Site, and EdgeOps Sphere, all built on the foundation of the Adapdix DataMesh. This combination aims to facilitate seamless scaling from a single piece of equipment to thousands of geographically distributed manufacturing processes across multiple factories and cloud endpoints. The platform is distinguished by its multi-source distributed data collection, storage, analytics, integrated MLOps with edge-native AI/ML inference, and ControlAI for autonomous, ultra-low latency anomaly correction.

Unlike most AI and ML offerings, Adapdix offers a predictive analytics solution, which enables enterprises to use AI to control and automate self-correcting actions, in addition to more common offerings that just help detect and prevent faults as they happen.

In August 2021, Adapdix acquired Edge Intelligence, developer of the first geographically distributed data management platform for analytics built for both edge computing and hybrid cloud environments.

Adapdix’s technology alliances provide platforms and applications that integrate with ADAPDIX to accelerate the value delivered by the EdgeOps Platform. Partners include AWS, Google for Startups, Microsoft for Startups, Siemens, Harvard University, and Intel. The company also has solution partnerships with BISTelligence and Grandview APM.

Funding and financials

Adapdix raised USD 6 million in a Venture round in August 2021. The round saw participation from X2 Equity, SoftBank, Micron Ventures, and Celesta Capital.
