Beastcoast fields teams in esports such as Dota 2, Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, and Super Smash Bros among others with total prize winnings of around USD 240,000 (largest share for Dota 2). Team sponsors include endemic brands such as Respawn, HyperX and Aorus.In January 2021, the company announced that it had acquired the Rainbow Six Pro League spot from esports organization Tempo Storm. Beastcoast’s Rainbow Six roster will join the league as a Tier 3 organization and generate revenue from the league's tiered revenue sharing program, R6 Share.In May 2021, Beastcoast announced USD 2.5 million in pre-seed funding. The round included participation from Andover Ventures, Elevate Ventures, and Techstars, and angel investors Steven Temares (former CEO, Bed Bath &amp; Beyond) and Scott Dorsey (Managing Partner, High Alpha Ventures).The company revealed the funding was used over the last two years to scale its content team, expand into Dota 2, and acquire a North American Rainbow 6 Siege Pro League slot in January 2021. The company claimed that its seed round will open in Q2 2021 and that it will fund the expansion into additional titles, acquiring a studio facility and expanding its marketing division.

It was founded by esports and gaming industry veterans Peter Stahl (former head of development at Resolution Games, a game studio focused on augmented and virtual reality) and Johan Skott (former esports product owner at Tobii Tech, a unit of technology company Tobii AB). NAG’s vision entails building an esports game and platform which will incorporate the community (i.e., professional players, streamers, broadcasters, and viewers) from the beginning of the development process.The company raised USD 1 million in an extended pre-seed funding round led by London Venture Partners in October 2020.
