UPS’ operations are divided into two main segments: Global Small Packages and Supply Chain Solutions. The former is further divided into two sections: US Domestic Package and International Package. The US Domestic Package segment accounted for ~64% of the total revenue of USD 100 billion in 2022, followed by International Package (~20%) and Supply Chain Solutions (~16%). The US operation accounts for nearly 80% of the group’s revenue.
In November 2023, UPS acquired Happy Returns from PayPal to improve its return logistics. It also acquired MNX Global Logistics and Transports CHABAS Santé in 2023 to strengthen its cold chain network within the US, European, and Latin American markets.
UPS aims to become carbon neutral by 2050 in all operations by using 40% alternative substitutes to fossil fuels by 2025, 30% sustainable aviation fuel, and 100% renewable electricity in all facilities by 2035.
