GetSetUp provides a digital platform that connects retired, re-skilled educators with other seniors for live, online lessons on a variety of topics. The platform offers over 500 classes across 18 topic categories, some of which are aging in place, communication, cooking, financial planning, languages, and technology. In addition, the platform has a rotating list of featured series for events for seniors such as women’s health week, preventing fraud and scams, and how to start a business. Additionally, the company allows users to host their own sessions in order to share their knowledge with communities. GetSetUp also has a club feature, allowing users to form groups and social circles for individuals sharing similar interests, helping seniors to have social interactions with other users.

The platform operates on a subscription basis, offering both individual plans and community plans for a monthly or annual fee.

Key customers and partnerships

GetSetUp has partnered with several entities to either help seniors develop new skills or expand the platform’s reach. Some of these partnerships are as follows:

GetSetUp partnered with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in October 2020 to make its platform accessible to 2.5 million seniors who are registered with the Department.

The company also partnered with Uber in October 2021 to teach older adults to use Uber's services and apps. Through the partnership, GetSetUp offered free classes during the pilot and to teach seniors how to navigate the Uber app.

The New York State Office for the Aging (NYSOFA) and Association on Aging in New York (AgingNY) expanded its partnership with GetSetUp in October 2022 to continue offering free online classes for hundreds of thousands of older adults in New York State. The company then partnered with the New Jersey Department of Human Resources in November 2022 to offer free online courses for older adults.

More recently, GetSetUp expanded its partnership with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) in August 2023 . Through the expansion, Michigan residents aged 50 and older were given access to an additional 500,000 free virtual classes across a range of topics.
