Park Place Payments

Park Place is a female-founded startup that offers payment processing solutions for businesses, including digital payment platforms for e-commerce shopping carts, mobile terminals, virtual web payment terminals, and gateways, among others. The platform can also be integrated with QuickBooks, existing point-of-sale (POS) systems, and shopping carts.

The company primarily caters to SMEs and reaches its customers through independent account executives, which mainly comprise women looking to return to work. The executives are sales professionals who generate leads, present proposals, and close new business for Park Place in return for 50% of the revenue received from each client throughout the life of the account.

In May 2021, the company noted that its executive sales force grew 371% YoY to 693 executives. Park Place expects to reach 1,200 executives by the end of 2021. It further indicated that the number of merchant clients rose 92%, and the monthly processing volume grew 134% since March 2020.

Park Place raised USD 1.5 million in seed funding in May 2021, led by Curate Capital. It intends to invest the proceeds in expanding its team and product offering.
