TendedBar offers a self-service, automated cocktail bar that is pitched toward events, arenas, hotels, restaurants, bars, and cruise ships. The company claims its unit can pour mixed cocktails in less than 30 seconds. Its technology involves facial recognition tech, modular design for scalability, anti-microbial screens, and auto cleaning of surfaces with UV-A rays. Customers are also provided with RFID wristbands to verify their age and bar tab information. The unit also collects data on its customers, drinking preferences, and spending from the transactions, which the company believes will be of value for analytical purposes in the future. As of May 2022, the company had successfully piloted its unit at several events at the Circuit of the Americas and PGA's AT&T Byron Nelson Tournament in Texas, with the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars and at several other arenas and stadiums in Jacksonville, Florida, as well as at a golf tournament in California.
The company also has a January 2022 partnership with Vivian Company, a supplier of foodservice equipment and manufacturing services, to assemble its automated bar systems .
In December 2021, TendedBar raised USD 5 million in a Series A funding round led by BASE Capital for continued growth through 2022 and to establish new national concert, entertainment, and sports partnerships.
