DODO

UK-based DODO offers subscription-based carbon offsetting solutions for businesses. DODO estimates a business’s carbon footprint and charges a customized monthly subscription which is then used to fund carbon offsetting projects.

DODO offers two main solutions based on how it estimates a business’s carbon footprint:

1) Starter is a standard solution that estimates the carbon footprint of a business using the average emissions of the industry that the business operates and 2) Advanced is a customized solution that could be integrated with account software to more accurately estimate a business’s carbon footprint using expense data. As of March 2021, DODO’s service fee is 10% of the cost of carbon offsetting for the Starter solution while the Advanced solution is still in the beta stage. This is comparatively lower than the industry average service fee of around 15%-20%.

DODO was founded in the Antler accelerator program in early 2020. DODO’s most recent funding was in March 2022, when it raised GBP 130,000 (USD 170,000) in a Pre-seed funding round.
