Polymer offers a no-code data loss prevention (DLP) platform for users to automatically manage and remediate breaches and risks associated with sensitive data from third-party SaaS applications such as Slack, Dropbox, Google Drive, Zendesk, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, GitHub, and Zapier. The platform leverages an entity recognition engine that it claims offers over 90% accuracy in identifying compliance-related items within days of deployment. This, in turn, enables cyber security and compliance teams to govern internal data and provide real-time data controls.
As of December 2021, the company served 18 customers across the healthcare, financial services, and insurance industries, including Signify Health, Medly Pharmacy, and Branch Insurance. The company also has multiple pending patents for its remediation technology. In April 2022, the company enabled users to redact and remediate employee exposure of sensitive data in near real-time through Google Drive, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft OneDrive, Github, and Box, among other SaaS platforms.
In December 2021, Polymer raised USD 4 million in seed funding led by Story Ventures to further develop its autonomous DLP for SaaS platforms. Additionally, Polymer plans to launch “plug and play” data governance and DLP in Q1 2022 to enable non-technical business owners to set up directly from the company’s website.
