re:3D is a social enterprise that manufactures 3D printers. The company undertakes 3D printing on contract, consulting, design, and teaching services in addition to building 3D printers. Its Gigabot series of 3D printers use fused filament fabrication (FFF) technology to produce thermoplastic parts using filament and pellet feedstock. re:3D is also developing large-scale, low-cost 3D printers that use plastic waste in the form of pellets, regrind, and flakes.
