Roga is a neurotech wellness company that has developed a wearable mental wellness device aimed at reducing stress symptoms in individuals. The device is designed to be worn behind the ears like headphones and stimulates the peripheral nerve situated behind each ear through gentle electrical pulsing, known as peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS). This non-invasive stimulation results in reduced rumination and worry, calming the body's fight-or-flight response.

The Roga device is paired with an app that utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to provide personalized, guided meditations tailored to the user's needs. According to clinical trials conducted by the company, using the Roga device for 20 to 60 minutes daily for six weeks can lead to a significant reduction of stress symptoms by up to 50%.

Roga's device is positioned as an accessible and affordable alternative to traditional stress management methods like therapy and medication. It targets individuals experiencing intense stress, burnout, and anxiety disorders who may find therapy expensive, have limited access to it, or face side effects from medication.

In October 2022, Roga officially launched its flagship product, Roga Life, offering a combined wearable-app solution for stress relief. The company reported that during exclusive beta testing in 2022, users experienced an average 58% reduction in stress symptoms after two weeks and an 82% reduction after four weeks of using Roga Life.

Key customers and partnerships

Roga has secured partnerships with various organizations to offer its stress management solution. In August 2023, the company announced a USD 35 million contract with GlobalSpace Technologies Ltd., India's first telehealth company. Under this partnership, Roga and GlobalSpace will create a platform called GoRoga, exclusively for India, where GlobalSpace's healthcare professionals can refer patients to the Roga device.

Roga has also partnered with the University of Waterloo for two separate clinical trials to further validate and advance its technology. Additionally, the company has initiated a corporate wellness program, offering its devices to businesses as part of employee benefits packages. As of October 2023, Roga has secured its first five corporate clients.
