Airgap Networks provides an agentless Zero Trust Segmentation platform with a patented Ransomware Kill Switch for IT, IoT, OT, and cloud deployments. The platform can be deployed within minutes to provide ransomware protection, network access control (NAC), and incident response capabilities. The platform uses an agentless ringfencing architecture to contain threats within a single endpoint, enforce multi-factor authentication (MFA) access, and eliminate unauthorized communication across the organization. Airgap’s Ransomware Kill Switch is an incident response solution that mitigates ransomware attacks, without requiring the shutdown of networks to contain the threat.
In May 2023, the company introduced “ThreatGPT”, a GPT-3-powered natural language interface providing access to Airgap’s machine-learning-powered threat insights, functionality which previously required coded queries. ThreatGPT is integrated with Zero Trust Firewall, Airgap’s network micro-segmentation solution.
In June 2023, Airgap Networks announced the acquisition of network and asset intelligence firm NetSpyGlass for an undisclosed sum. Airgap would integrate NetSpyGlass' platform with its Zero Trust Firewall (ZTFW) to provide customers deeper visibility into their networks to improve threat detection, location, and remediation.
Funding and financials
In April 2022, Airgap Networks raised USD 13.4 million in a Series A funding round led by Storm Ventures.
