S2A Modular is a developer of prefabricated houses and commercial buildings that are developed as net-zero/positive energy generators. The company also offers accessory dwelling units (ADUs), tiny homes, and luxury custom sustainable homes. Customers can choose from 35 pre-designed floor plans or develop a customized house based on their preferences. Its luxury homes line named “GreenLuxHomes” is equipped with a proprietary app to control lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems, and appliances for better energy management. These homes are electricity self-sufficient and don’t require a connection to the power grid. The company also focussed on developing a community of 55-plus homes. S2A Modular has acquired exclusive rights to use graphene solar technology by FreeVolt, a manufacturer of solar panels, which generates 20–40% more energy than traditional solar panels.
By July 2021, the company had three manufacturing plants in California, Florida, and Texas, with the fourth to be opened in the City of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The Sheboygan facility was to be developed as a mega factory with an annual capacity of up to 1,000 units. In April 2021, the company announced its plans to build 35 manufacturing facilities across the US, including in states such as Wisconsin, Texas, California, Florida, as well as several locations outside the US such as Canada, Haiti, and Puerto Rico. This will enable the company to increase its total production capacity to around 35,000 to 70,000 units per annum. All factories will be built to achieve net-zero/positive energy generation.
