Katonic AI

Katonic AI is an Australia-based machine learning (ML) and AI company. It has combined GenAI and traditional ML into two flagship products: The MLOps platform and the GenAI platform. 

The Katonic MLOps Platform offers a unified UI, simplifying data science management for safe, quick, and sustainable ML Model deployment. The Katonic GenAI Platform is a no-code solution powered by the MLOps Platform, enabling businesses of all sizes to create enterprise-grade AI applications. Features of the platform include an LLM library with 100+ models, semantic search, prompt templates, and the ability to implement application-specific guard rails. Both these platforms are Kubernetes-based, adaptable to multi-cloud, on-premises, or edge deployment, and part of the NVIDIA Cloud Validated ecosystem. 

In June 2023, Katonic AI partnered with Hopsworks to enable users of its MLOps platform to leverage a Python-centric Enterprise Feature Store. The combined offering facilitates efficient feature engineering, streamlined deployment, and management of ML models, allowing organizations to build high-quality models faster and at scale. 

Katonic AI offers three plans for their customers in relation to the MLOps Platform: 1) Katonic Initiate, for all enterprises looking to initiate MLOps; 2) Katonic Plus, to help accelerate and transform MLOps into the enterprise with guaranteed operationalization of two models into production; and 3) Katonic Transform, to help accelerate and transform MLOps into the enterprise with the guaranteed operationalization of eight models into production and the establishment of a Center of Excellence practice within the enterprise. 

It claims that its MLOps platform results in 12x faster deployment of models, an 85% reduction in manual labor costs through automation, and a 7x reduction in computing cost through Kubernetes microservices architecture. 

Key customers and partnerships

In October 2023 , Katonic AI partnered with Mindfields, an AI advisory firm, to enable organizations to use GenAI while addressing concerns related to data privacy, security, and accuracy. The partnership aims to integrate GenAI models into organizations’ infrastructure, which enhances security and accuracy. 

In June 2023, Katonic AI partnered with Collabera Digital , a provider of digital engineering services, to fine-tune GenAI models and install them directly on the organization’s infrastructure, ensuring security and precision. The collaboration also involves the establishment of GenAI labs in key cities in the Asia-Pacific region. 

Katonic AI has a partner program where its existing and prospective customers can gain access to subject matter expertise and proficiency in designing and implementing solutions built on the MLOps Platform. 

Funding and financials

In December 2022, Katonic AI raised USD 1.6 million in a pre-Series A round led by Asia Pacific venture capital firm, Artesian, with support from Boab AI. The funding was to be used to expand its products and services, hire additional talent, and grow its customer base.
