The food delivery app solution allows users to place orders through the company’s mobile app or website platform and pay using cash, credit cards (including foreign credit cards), etc. Yummy has promotional partnerships with fast-food chains such as KFC, Arturo’s, and Burger Shack. As of June 2022, the company’s average prepared food category cart size was USD 14. The company operates in six Latin American countries including Venezuela, Bolivia, Peru, and Panama.
In October 2021, the company expanded its global operations through the acquisition of Yaigo, a Bolivian delivery startup that focuses on underserved markets in Latin America. Yaigo operates in Bolivia and Paraguay.
In June 2022, Yummy raised USD 47 million in a funding round led by Anthos Capital with participation from JAM Fund, Soma Capital, WIND Ventures, Ethos Capital, and YC Continuity. The investment brought the company’s total funding to USD 69 million. It planned to use the funds on product development, increasing density within current categories, and expanding coverage in markets like Venezuela and Bolivia.
