XSET is an esports team organization comprised of former executives from the prominent esports organization Faze Clan. One of the founders is Greg Selkoe, former President of Faze Clan.  He was joined by two other former executives (Clinton Sparks and Wil Eddins) and Marco Mereu (founder of esports digital social content platform, Framerate). Merue  left the role of COO in August 2022 and remained a majority owner and a member of the board of directors. XSET aims to improve racial and gender diversity in the esports industry and will be represented by teams competing in Valorant, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft (by way of signing former roster belonging to Method Gaming), PUBG mobile, Rocket League, Madden, and Fortnite.

In February 2021, the company announced its entry into the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series. With its entry into iRacing, the organization aims to leverage a growing esport to support its brand. The company has already established an apparel line. In September 2023 , the company intended on returning to the women’s CS:GO and Fortnite after having successful teams in 2020-2021 and 2022, respectively.

The company acquired talent management agency Astoic Management in April 2022 , which was followed by the acquisition of Queens Gaming Collective in April 2023 , to expand its support for women gamers and drive inclusivity in the gaming industry. The deal included talent management and brand partnerships, with Queens Gaming Collective co-founder Justin J. Giangrande transitioning to XSET’s Head of Talent.
