Event Store

Kurrent (formerly Event Store) is a specialized database system designed for storing and managing event streams in event-sourced applications. It provides a platform for implementing event sourcing, a pattern where changes to application state are recorded as a sequence of events. Event Store offers features for persisting events, maintaining their order within streams, and enabling efficient retrieval of events for state reconstruction. The database supports concurrent operations on event streams, ensuring that events are inserted sequentially for a given stream through version numbering. Event Store also facilitates the creation of projections, which are derived views of event data that can be used for querying and analysis.
