Seegrid develops vision-guided autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) supported by cloud-based fleet analytics software for material handling and logistics automation. Its robots come with varying load capacities ranging from 3,500 lbs to 10,000 lbs. The AMRs are designed for varying warehousing needs that include transporting items from receiving docks to storage locations, transporting items over a long, one-way distance, and gathering items into a single load for a consolidated shipment. Seegrid’s Palion Lift and Palion Tow Tractor are equipped with the ability to work in combination to load and unload carts with no human intervention.

Palion AMRs are powered by advanced vision systems and have the ability to navigate and operate in dynamic, human-centric environments. The AMRs are available for direct purchases, leases, and can also be accessed using a robots-as-a-service (RaaS) subscription model.

The company also offers software solutions which include

1) “Fleet Geek,” a cloud-based fleet analytics software that provides an enterprise-wide view of material flow

2) “Supervisor,” a fleet management software that provides control and real-time visibility of the AMRs

3) “Fleet Central,” a fleet management interface to enable orchestrated AMR workflows within customers’ facilities.

The company also acquired Box Robotics, a mobile robotics startup, in October 2020 to complement its product development.

Key customers and partnerships

As of September 2024, Seegrid has partnered with over 50 global brands and deployed more than 2,000 AMRs within 200+ customer sites. Its customers include Sumitomo Drive Technologies, Whirlpool Corporation, DHL Supply Chain, and Zulily.

In December 2021, Seegrid entered a collaborative partnership with the Applied Intuition for AMR Simulations to create 3D virtual warehouses, factories, and distribution centers. The company also has strategic partnerships with system integrators RōBEX (March 2022) and Koops Automation Systems (October 2022) to offer Seegrid’s suite of Palion solutions for the two companies’ customers.
