Formed in 1997 through a merger between Hyrum W. Smith's Franklin Quest and Stephen R. Covey's Covey Leadership Center, FranklinCovey provides leadership development and individual effectiveness training to organizations and individuals. Initially focused on marketing print and audio products based on Stephen Covey's The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People material, the company currently focuses on in-person and live-online training solutions for individuals and organizations in a range of areas including leadership development, business execution planning, sales performance, and individual effectiveness. In 2016, FranklinCovey launched All Access Pass to provide subscribers access to all of its content solutions and learning modalities live-online or on-demand.
FranklinCovey acquired Jhana, a provider of micro-learning content and tools for leaders and managers, and Robert Gregory Partners, an executive coaching firm, in 2017 to boost its All Access Pass solution. In April 2021, the company acquired Strive, a management training platform, for about USD 20 million. Strive will also be integrated into All Access Pass and Strive’s CEO Will Houghteling will be the company’s vice president of product and platform.
