Ovice is a virtual workplace designed to enhance communication and collaboration among remote teams. The company was initially named as Nimaru Technology co. Ltd and changed into oVice in December 2020. It offers a range of features, including avatar-based interaction, meeting and chat tools, customization and security options, real-time status updates, integration with web services, and recording and transcription capabilities. These features help to create a more interactive online work environment where team members can visually express their individuality and communicate effectively. Additionally, it is accessible from various devices.

In December 2021, oVice partnered with Zoom to allow its users to access Zoom meetings without having to move from one platform to another. 

Funding and financials

In August 2022, oVice raised 45 billion yen (approx.USD 32.5 million) in a series B funding round led by multiple investors whose names remained undisclosed. The funds were allocated for overseas expansion, marketing, and PR activities, to introduce new solutions to streamline remote and hybrid work and facilitate employee onboarding, ​​team management, and online collaboration.
