Cuyna

Cuyna is a Madrid-based cloud kitchen operator that provides food entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized restaurants, and established chains a turnkey expansion solution. The company analyzes food brands with high growth potential, connecting them to their network of over 55 kitchen spaces within industrial sites in high customer density areas across Spain. Cuyna provides the kitchen infrastructure as well as software for managing sales and enabling multi-brand orders, undertakes the sourcing of all products and ingredients, chef sourcing and meal preparation, and partners with third-party platforms for delivery.

As of April 2022, Cuyna had over 40 brands in its portfolio including Roost Chicken, Peccato Pizzeria, Wing Stop, and Urban Burrito Bar. The company estimates that restaurateurs increase sales by 60% for each distribution point of Cuyna in which they are integrated and 42% of their customers repeat their orders.

Cuyna offers restaurateurs up to USD 86,500 in savings on the initial investment to set up, a setup period of 2–4 weeks, and 25% in cost savings on rent, utilities, and other expenses.

In October 2020, Cuyna raised around USD 1 million in pre-seed funding, which was followed by a May 2021 infusion of USD 2.2 million from a Convertible Note round.
