Red Cat Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: RCAT) is a drone technology company based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The company operates through five subsidiaries, catering to the enterprise, military, and consumer markets. Its flagship product is the Teal two drone, designed and manufactured by subsidiary Teal Drones.

The Teal two is an affordable, man-portable drone optimized for night operations. It features advanced night vision cameras, a modular design, multi-vehicle control capabilities, and artificial intelligence integration. The drone supports various applications, including reconnaissance, surveillance, inspection, and precision strike missions for military and government agencies.

In August 2023, Red Cat secured a USD 5.2 million contract from the US Defense Logistics Agency to supply Teal two drone systems and accessories to the US Air Force Security Forces. The Teal two is approved by the US Department of Defense as a Blue UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) and is compliant with FAA Remote ID regulations.

Red Cat's subsidiary, Teal Drones, operates a 25,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. The company received a USD 750,000 Manufacturing Modernization Grant from the State of Utah in recognition of its domestic manufacturing efforts.

In December 2023, Red Cat endorsed the American Security Drone Act, which prohibits the federal government from procuring drones from countries deemed security threats, such as China. The company aims to support defense forces and federal agencies by providing secure, American-made drone solutions.

Red Cat has also formed the Red Cat Futures Initiative (RFI), an industry-wide consortium of robotics and autonomous systems partners. The goal is to bridge technology gaps and promote interoperability in the unmanned aircraft systems sector, catering to the needs of warfighters.
