Stir Money (‘Stir’) offers a service that enables creators to streamline and manage all their businesses on separate online content sharing platforms, such as Patreon, YouTube, Anchor, and Twitch, and aggregate financial and fan data from each platform to discover growth analytics and audience interests. The platform also allows creators to share revenue and analytics when they collaborate. The company launched its beta product soon after raising seed funding worth USD 4 million in October 2020. In February 2021, Stir raised funds (value undisclosed) in a new Series A funding round led by return investor Andreessen Horowitz, valuing Stir at USD 100 million.
Stir launched “Stir for Managers,” a tool suite for talent managers that “has solved creator/manager trust” in August 2021. The product’s core functionality aims to build trust by allowing both creators and managers to access earnings and analytics data under one platform. Using built-in customizable permissions, creators can approve the revenue split before the money is disbursed to the manager’s bank account. Stir also offers automatic and shared invoicing while generating 1099s for tax purposes. The new tools enable managers and creators to save time and money on admin and payment handling. Moreover, the company does not charge a fee for the use of “Stir for Managers.”
