Resilient Power Systems (RPS) develop solid-state plug-and-play EV fast charging systems. According to the company, these self-contained 15kV units can charge up to 20 EVs simultaneously and can be installed within a day.
The units are adaptable to various power inputs, including solar, batteries, or generators, which minimizes conversion losses while its small form factor reduces space requirements. Further, these units claim to provide 4x more charging capacity than their predecessors, while providing vehicle-to-grid (V2G), and microgrid capability in the same unit.
RPS holds four US patents with three more in the pipeline for its solid-state technology.
Funding and financials
The company’s last funding round was in October 2021, when it raised USD 5 million in a seed funding round led by Energy Transition Ventures, with participation from Amazon's Climate Pledge Fund and GS Futures. The funds were to be used for its pilot program, as well as sales and marketing expansion efforts prior to commercializing its energy route platform.
