Ayar Labs utilizes a chiplet architecture, designed to be packaged with compute tiles from other chipmakers using open standards like Universal Chiplet Interconnect Express (UCI-express). The company's optical I/O technology is manufactured by GlobalFoundries using its GF Fotonix platform.

Ayar Labs has secured strategic partnerships with several industry leaders. The company is collaborating with NVIDIA to develop next-generation AI infrastructure based on optical I/O technology. This partnership aims to address the increasing bandwidth demands of AI and machine learning workloads. Ayar Labs is also working with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) to enhance future versions of HPE's Slingshot interconnect switching systems.  The quantum computing company Diraq, operating out of Sydney, has recently reached a new record for control accuracy in a quantum processor. They achieved a 99.9% accuracy using the familiar silicon wafer technology. The device incorporates a silicon spin qubit, constructed in a 300 mm foundry setting, using typical CMOS materials and processes.
 With this device, advanced qubit control and measurement techniques become possible. These include real-time feedback, a streamlined method for qubit initialization, control of voltage pulse shaping, and cutting-edge analysis techniques like gate set tomography (GST) and randomized benchmarking.
 Making this high-performance qubit device available lays the groundwork for high-quality qubits and standard CMOS transistors to be combined onto a single chip. This is a crucial step towards the production of commercially viable, error-corrected quantum computers that could house millions of qubits. Diraq intends to harness existing semiconductor foundry capabilities to manufacture quantum processor chips on a broad scale. In relation to this, a company known as GlobalFoundries has been contracted to produce a batch of sample chips for Diraq later this year.&nbsp;
