Curve Health, which was founded in the early onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, offers an all-in-one connected senior care platform combining telemedicine with smart billing, predictive analytics, electronic health records, and a health information exchange. The platform is built on and expands on the capabilities of Call9, a telemedicine platform for SNF’s, which was also founded by Curve Health’s Founder Timothy Peck. The platform was shut down in June 2019 due to challenges at the time with receiving reimbursements for telemedicine services. Since then, with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, legislation has been revised to allow reimbursement for telemedicine services provided remotely.
The core product of Curve Health is its virtual care platform which connects medical professionals in hospitals to SNFs, in ambulances, and at home. Through its platform, the company aims to reduce the number of transfers from SNFs to emergency departments, improve revenue reimbursements, and increase efficiency in patient care. The company claims that it reduces ER visits by more than 50%
