Confianza provides data analytics and machine learning tools relevant to both pre-bind (customer profile, pre-fill, lead generation, indicators of consumer/business financial strength) and post-bind (fraud screening, premium leakage, book reviews) insurance activities, utilized by agents and carriers. The company has built its own third-party data repository of over 270 million individuals, 170 million households, and 60 million SMEs, which it combines with AI, machine learning, prescriptive analysis, and point-of-sale risk profiles to produce curated results based on various factors such as household composition, financial health, and well-being to determine an insurer’s level of risk exposure, among other things.
Funding and financials
In June 2022, Confianza raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding led by Sandbox Insurtech Ventures. The company was expected to use the funds to develop its product offering and expand its team.
