RealFevr is a Lisbon-based startup founded in 2015 that initially focused on fantasy sports markets, launching a football fantasy leagues app available on iOS and Android. The app garnered over 2 million downloads and 1 million registered users. In 2021, RealFevr transitioned into the Web3 space, becoming a pioneer in bringing Web3 products to Portugal.
The company launched the world's first soccer video NFT marketplace, offering digital collectibles featuring football stars like Bruno Fernandes, Cristiano Ronaldo, Iker Casillas, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Ángel Di María, Ronaldinho, Eric Cantona, Totti, and Rúben Dias. All NFT collection pack drops sold out within 24 hours, with over 145,000 packs sold as of October 2022.
RealFevr secured partnerships with sports organizations like Liga Portugal, the Portuguese Football Federation, Torino FC, and Beach Soccer Worldwide to obtain intellectual property rights. The company also developed FEVR Battle Arena, a play-to-earn (P2E) football game integrating its NFTs.
In October 2022, RealFevr raised EUR 10 million in a Series A funding round led by ADvantage Sports Tech Fund. The funds were intended for international expansion, acquiring more sports IP rights, hiring talent, game development, and overall ecosystem growth. By June 2024, RealFevr decided to fully transition into a Web3 company, discontinuing its fantasy leagues platform to focus on Web3 innovation and unlocking new opportunities in this dynamic space.
