Founded in 2018, Global Grid for Learning (GG4L) is a membership-based collaborative that supports K-12 schools, colleges, and universities managing their different online EdTech solutions. The public benefit corporation’s School Passport is an integration-as-a-service (iPaaS) product providing integration services and single sign-on to more than 20,000 schools, free of charge. GG4L has two strategic, sponsored impact initiatives: The Safer Schools Initiative, focusing on school safety, and The Future Proof Skills Initiative, helping close the skills gap by connecting students, employers, and content providers.
In June 2021, GG4L acquired Stackup, a provider of AI-based data analytics technology, founded in 2013 by Nick Garvin, that can be installed on all student devices to measure online reading and engagement by reading level, subject area, and website. Students earn badges and teachers receive real-time analytics feedback. Stackup’s technology will be integrated into GG4L's School Passport.
