Founded during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic by CEO and prominent restaurant franchisor and business operator Rene Prats, Miami-based DriveKindness offers a delivery platform for restaurants to access a fleet of delivery drivers. The company operates in Florida and Massachusetts as of December 2020, with hopes to expand nationwide during 2021 through a franchising approach.
The company claims that it enables restaurants to save up to 60% by charging a flat rate with drivers able to earn up to USD 25 per hour without incurring customer surcharges. The company also provides training for drivers to maintain the safety and quality of food. DriveKindness also plans to contribute to annual charities selected by individual franchisees.
In December 2020, DriveKindness partnered with Olo to integrate online food delivery order aggregation via Olo’s “Dispatch” platform. Olo’s subscription-based customizable software helps restaurants streamline orders from third-party food delivery platforms that have connected with Olo into a restaurant’s point-of-sale system. DriveKindness will offer Olo delivery services for aggregated customer orders from restaurants.
