LiveFreely launched BUDDY in October 2019 which uses data from wearable devices and combines this with machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) through its app to monitor and protect the health of the elderly. The platform was in public beta as of December 2020. BUDDY offers a range of services, including reducing and detecting the fall risk, creating medication schedules and reminders, GPS location, and emergency notifications. The platform can alert necessary parties such as the family, caregivers, and first responders, and it can send alerts directly to smartwatches as well.
BUDDY allows users to automatically track and log health readings and retain health records to identify health patterns and share them with medical personnel. In addition to health warnings, the BUDDY wearable allows family members to set travel boundaries for elderly users and get alerts when the boundary has been breached.
