Mexico-based, Eco Six Pack Ring creates 100% compostable and biodegradable six-pack rings mainly to be used in beer packaging, which heavily depends on single-use plastics. The company’s six pack ring is made of natural fibers derived from byproducts of the food and beverage and agriculture industries. The Eco Six Pack Ring was launched through a partnership with Florida-based SaltWater Brewery in January 2018, and has since been adopted by beer brands such as Corona, Molson Coors and Heineken and breweries including Nu Brewery, Redemption Rock Brewing Co. and Altruist Brewing. As of April 2021, the product was used by over 300 beverage producers in 25 countries including Australia, South Africa, Scotland, Poland, and the Solomon Islands.
