Founded in 2018, the company uses a proprietary, John Hopkins evidence-based tool to measure its therapists’ cultural responsiveness and provides appropriate training to effectively tackle culturally sensitive issues such as race, ethnicity, class, and culture. Hurdle’s suite of mental health services includes a self-care app, wellness workshops, and therapy.
Key customers and partnerships
In June 2022, the company and Oscar Health expanded their partnership to provide mental health services to all of Oscar’s Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) members. The two companies initially partnered in 2021 to bring Hurdle’s mental health services to Oscar’s members’ in Texas.
