Founded in 2020 by Imran Ladiwala (tech entrepreneur) and Mishu Ahluwalia (serial entrepreneur), KIWI is an on-demand talent network that connects freelancers and clients within 180 seconds. The platform is unique because it allows individuals to get work done instantly while the freelancers get paid within 60 minutes.
In January 2021, the company raised USD 250,000 in a seed funding round from PointOne Capital, Core91 VC, AppyHigh, and other angel investors. The fresh capital will be allocated toward product development, building a freelancer pool, and for customer acquisition.
As of January 2021, KIWI has signed up more than 5,000 experts to its platform while operating in an early revenue stage and plans to achieve more than USD 2 million in revenue by the end of 2023, with an annual revenue of USD 100 million within the next five years.
