juli is an AI-driven chronic care management platform that gathers biomarker data to identify triggers of difficult-to-treat chronic conditions and provides recommendations requiring micro behavioral changes. It gathers data from smartphones and wearables, environmental data, and electronic health records as well as patient-reported information specific to the condition. It combines and analyzes this data with AI and machine learning to give insights and recommendations to improve health. As of March 2022, the company had served nearly 15,000 patients via the juli app. The company covers chronic conditions such as asthma, depression, migraine, bipolar disorder, and chronic pain.
The app uses both a passive and active approach to gathering information. Its AI gathers information passively from wearables while individuals can also actively provide information on their specific condition. Additionally, the app generates patterns and possible correlations between an individual’s disease and lifestyle.
The company was selected by the US Department of Health and Human Services as one of 15 digital health startups to join the 2022 PandemicX Accelerator cohort and one of the companies selected into SoftBank Vision Fund’s Emerge Program for 2021. juli operates a B2C and B2B2C business model and is free for use. The company may introduce a subscription model in both markets for additional services in the future.
