Lupl is a radically simple platform designed to help lawyers plan, organize, and deliver legal work more efficiently. It serves as a secure, cloud-based workspace that brings together various tools and systems used by legal professionals into a unified platform. The platform offers native capabilities for communication, collaboration, document sharing, legal project management, and knowledge management. Additionally, it seamlessly integrates with popular third-party tools like Microsoft Teams, Slack, iManage, NetDocuments, SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive, Zoom, DocuSign, and Litera compareDocs.

Lupl's key features include greater visibility into legal matters through flexible views, streamlined task management with prioritization and balanced workload distribution, customizable workflows with defined steps and deadlines, and integrated knowledge capture. The platform offers an intuitive interface for efficient legal matter management, real-time collaboration, and comprehensive team oversight, leading to enhanced client satisfaction and loyalty.

Developed with insights from industry leaders and co-developed by a multinational community of legal departments, law firms, and stakeholders, Lupl aims to solve shared frustrations around legal matter collaboration. The platform was incubated by international law firms Rajah & Tann Asia, CMS, and Cooley, with input from firms like Slaughter and May, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Khaitan & Co, and One Essex Court during the testing phase. It also has an advisory board comprising 16 leading in-house lawyers.

Lupl's mission is to empower lawyers and legal professionals to solve complex legal problems collaboratively. The company envisions creating a more open and connected legal world through its unique open-development approach to collaboration on legal matters.

Key customers and partnerships

In November 2021, Lupl announced its global release and freemium pricing model, allowing law firms and legal departments to use core features for free for an unlimited time. The platform had gained traction among legal organizations in over 30 countries during its early adopter mode.

Lupl has established partnerships with industry leaders like Microsoft, enabling a seamless integration with Microsoft Teams. Rima Reyes, Principal Program Manager in the Teams Ecosystem at Microsoft, commented on the collaboration, stating, "Lupl is continuing to digitally transform the international legal community. With the new Lupl app for Microsoft Teams, lawyers can easily bring all the moving parts of a legal matter – documents, status, scope, and tasks – together in one place."

The platform has garnered positive feedback from its users, including prominent law firms like Cooley and CMS, who have been involved in Lupl's development since its inception.
