Ilumivu is a healthcare technology company founded in 2009 and based in Asheville, North Carolina. The company provides decision support applications that leverage the psychology of behavior change and real-time data from smartwatches and smartphones to reduce healthcare costs. Its flagship product is Cardiogram, a mobile app that offers continuous cardiovascular monitoring using off-the-shelf wearables like Garmin, Apple Watch, and Fitbit devices. Cardiogram has over 3.7 million downloads as of July 2022 and can pre-diagnose conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, and sleep apnea by processing captured data through trained neural networks with millions of cardiovascular data points.

Ilumivu's solutions aim to provide better health outcomes for members while simultaneously reducing the total cost of care through early detection and management of these conditions. The company has a 13-year history of using early-signal data collected from wearables by its healthcare research customers and applies this expertise to engage members, increase adherence, impact positive behavior changes, and provide monitoring for better member engagement.

In July 2022, Ilumivu secured venture funding from The Pisgah Fund, a USD 50 million venture capital fund investing in healthcare-related companies in Western North Carolina, following an initial investment from Health Catalyst Capital, L.P. in October 2021.

Over the years, Ilumivu has established partnerships with over 70 prestigious organizations, including Harvard Medical School, Johns Hopkins Medicine, the University of Georgia, and Boston Children's Hospital, for over 100 clinical projects involving the company's platform.

In July 2022, the company announced a new study on Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) using its Cardiogram app in collaboration with Dysautonomia International, a non-profit organization focused on autonomic nervous system disorders. The study aims to gain insights into how individuals with POTS can track and manage their symptoms using Cardiogram.
