Remagine was a Berlin-based fintech startup that aimed to provide purpose-driven digital business accounts and financial solutions for companies focused on sustainability and positive impact. Their mission was to reshape banking through founder-friendly financing options and technology-driven services designed to inspire businesses to be more successful, sustainable, and impactful.
Remagine initially positioned itself as a "founder-friendly" bank, offering funding of up to EUR 1 million without requiring equity, board seats, personal guarantees, or warrants. This approach allowed founders to retain control over their businesses while accessing capital.
In December 2020, Remagine announced plans to launch digital business accounts tailored for companies prioritizing people, planet, and profits. These accounts promised financial control through features like team cards, multi-IBANs, analytics dashboards, and zero negative interest rates.
Unfortunately, despite securing a EUR 20 million investment round in early 2022, Remagine filed for insolvency in January of the same year, appointing Torsten Martini as the provisional insolvency administrator. The startup faced challenges in finding a suitable business model and attracting further investments for its relaunch.
