Operto Guest Technologies

Operto provides guest management and B2B revenue management solutions targeted at hotels and alternative accommodation providers.  Operto Connectis the company’s flagship platform that houses its Operto Tech, Operto Guest, and Operto Teams solutions.

1) Operto Tech offers mobile key, smart lock solutions, noise monitoring safeguards, and energy control solutions for room facilities. Further, Operto Boost, which enables the upgrading of traditional locks to BLE/Bluetooth-enabled locks, was added to the company’s product portfolio through its acquisition of smart lock provider STAYmyway in November 2022. 

2) Operto Guest is a mobile app that provides guest experience solutions such as access codes and mobile keys, guest messaging, translation capabilities, custom guidebooks that feature automated curation of dining, shopping, and activities near each location. 

3) Operto Teams is a platform that automates hospitality scheduling featuring a dashboard that includes a master calendar, auto-task generation, real-time alerts, room status, and staff certification through a partnership with TRUSTD.ai. The platform integrates with Operto’s other solutions, property management software (PMS), accounting software Quickbooks, travel tech providers like Airbnb and Vrbo, and other API integrations. In June 2021, Operto acquired VRScheduler, operating as a separate brand alongside the company. VRScheduler specializes in property management tools for vacation rentals, including bookings and distribution through major third parties, payments, forecasting, staff and resource services, logistics, and billing.

Key customers and partnerships

Partnerships include 

1) Accor Hotels in 2021, to provide the technology that powers the Accor Key program across its global network; 

2) Lightmaker in February 2020, to integrate Lightmaker’s property management platform to Operto’s solutions; 

3) SolutionInc in September 2019, to add SolutionInc’s commercial-grade WiFi management and installation services; 

4) Hostaway in June 2019, to allow Hostaway’s property manager customers to access Operto’s in-property automation software and solutions.

Funding and financials

In March 2023, Operto raised USD 25 million in a Series B funding round led by Centana Growth Partners.
