TimelyCare

TimelyCare (previously TimelyMD) is a virtual health and well-being provider focused exclusively on higher education. Founded in 2017, the company offers a suite of telehealth services to college and university students across the US. TimelyCare's platform provides 24/7 on-demand access to medical care, mental health counseling, psychiatric support, health coaching, and self-care content. The company's services are designed to complement existing campus health resources and expand equitable access to care for students, regardless of their location or insurance status.

TimelyCare's core offerings include TalkNow for immediate emotional support, scheduled counseling sessions, on-demand medical care, and health coaching. Students can connect with licensed providers through phone or video chat via the TimelyCare app or website. The platform also features self-guided wellness tools and a Peer Community for peer support. 

The company utilizes a diverse network of providers to deliver culturally responsive care, with over half of its mental health providers identifying as people of color. 

Key customers and partnerships

As of December 2023, TimelyCare served more than 2 million students at over 350 colleges and universities. 

TimelyCare has partnered with numerous higher education institutions across the US, including Duke University, Johns Hopkins University, and George Mason University. 

In November 2023, TimelyCare announced an agreement with the Sun Belt Conference (SBC) to offer SBC student-athletes expanded access to mental health resources. Through the partnership, SBC student-athletes gained access to on-demand, 24/7 mental health resources, and scheduled virtual counseling appointments, supplementing the existing network of care available on each of the conference’s 14 campuses. The services were provided at no cost to the student-athletes. 

In May 2023, TimelyCare formed a partnership with Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation to further support student mental health initiatives.
