 In May 2020, the company announced that it entered a partnership with Varjo, a VR/XR headset provider, to combine its application with Varjo’s mixed-reality headset. In September 2020, the company brought personalized 3D avatars to its platform through its partnership with Wolf3D. 
 
 
 In March 2021, the company announced that it launched an app for collaborative conferences in the Oculus Store, compatible with the Oculus Quest and Quest 2 platforms. The app is offered for EUR 35 per month (approximately USD 40) and can host up to 35 guests in a room at one time. It is also available for free in the Oculus Store, while the full version is accessible on the company website.

Dutch virtual reality company VR Owl Group has acquired XR collaboration platform MeetinVR for an undisclosed sum. MeetinVR will continue to operate as usual, with VR Owl Group planning to invest in its software and streamline services for clients and partners. The founder of MeetinVR, Cristian-Emanuel Anton, has left the company following the acquisition, while VR industry veteran Wisse Jelgersma has been appointed as the new CEO. Jelgersma aims to enhance MeetinVR's offerings by engaging with partners, suppliers, and clients.
