Lume Cannabis

Lume Cannabis Co. is a Michigan-based cannabis company that operates a large-scale cultivation facility and an extensive retail network across the state. The company was founded by a group of Michiganders and launched its first 50,000 sq. ft. cultivation facility in Evart in April 2019. Since then, Lume has rapidly expanded, with plans to unveil an 85,000 sq. ft. expansion to its cultivation site and two more additions of the same size in the future to meet the growing demands of the Michigan market.

Lume's cultivation process involves a state-of-the-art indoor facility adhering to strict safety and quality control measures. The plants are grown hydroponically, moving through different rooms with controlled light cycles for vegetative growth and flowering. Around 2,000 plants are harvested weekly, with the buds undergoing drying, curing, trimming, and testing processes before being packaged for retail sale.

On the retail front, Lume aims to be the top cannabis brand in Michigan, with a strategy focused on rapid expansion. As of early 2021, the company had 15 operational dispensaries and plans to open over 30 more by the end of that year. Lume offers a diverse range of cannabis products, including flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, and concentrates, under its own brand.

In April 2024, Lume introduced BUZZN, a THC-infused seltzer beverage, across its 38 locations in Michigan, marking its entry into the cannabis-infused beverage market.
