Bizero is a Turkish company that offers a marketplace for shared vehicles including e-bikes and delivery droids. It operates in the Last-mile Delivery Automation space via its spin-off Pika Robotics. Its “Pika II” delivery robot can carry a payload of up to 22 lbs and can be remotely operated and controlled over the internet via a mobile app. It can deliver two packages per hour within a 0.6-mile radius, operating at 6.2 mph. It is fitted with machine-learning-based self-driving software and equipped with a built-in speaker and microphone, front and rear cameras, and swappable batteries. Customers can either purchase the product outright or rent the unit.
Key customers and partnerships
In July 2020, the company tested 10 robots around Bogaziçi University in Istanbul in cooperation with Wonderbox Restaurant. In February 2021, the robot made its first city delivery, from Rumeli Hisarüstü farmers market to a household in Etiler, Istanbul.
