Fan Controlled Football

Fan Controlled Football (FCF) is an innovative indoor 7-on-7 football league that empowers fans to make key decisions for their favorite teams through an interactive mobile app. Launched in February 2021, FCF redefined football for the digital age by combining the excitement of live sports, the engagement of fantasy sports, and the interactivity of video games. The league features a 50-yard field, fast-paced games lasting around 70-90 minutes, and no kicking plays.

FCF's unique concept allows fans to call offensive plays in real-time, draft players, choose team logos and jerseys, and even vote on league rules. During games, fans vote on one of several pre-selected run or pass plays, and the play with the most votes is relayed to the quarterback via an earpiece. Players are encouraged to showcase their personalities, with bonuses awarded for the best touchdown celebrations and interviews.

In its inaugural 2021 season, FCF operated as a bubble environment with four teams owned by celebrities like Marshawn Lynch, Richard Sherman, and Austin Ekeler. The league expanded to eight teams for the 2022 season, with new franchises owned by cryptocurrency groups and Web3 entities like Bored Ape Yacht Club and Steve Aoki. FCF experienced significant growth in viewership and fan engagement, attracting over 21 million live views and becoming one of the fastest-growing sports channels on Twitch.

After a successful second season, FCF prepared for a return in May 2023 as the first-ever professional spring football league to launch a third season. In September 2023, the league announced plans to expand into other interactive sports properties through partnerships and technology licensing deals.
