Founded in 2001 by Dongsook Whitehead and Carlos Maldonado, Connect For Education (C4E) is an academic and professional development educational technology (EdTech) firm that designs and develops online learning and teaching platforms, instructional tools, and content in a variety of topics.

C4E’s platforms comprise C4E Link, a learning management system (LMS) to host its content and tools linking to other widely-used LMSs; C4E Bridge, a platform for course creation and delivery that integrates digital asset management, content building, and an LMS, launched in April 2021; C4E OMC, or OnMusic Companion, that offers applications and content for music teaching and learning; and C4E Studio, a platform for synchronous and asynchronous learning in performance-based disciplines. Additionally, the company’s tools and applications include C4E Room, a web conferencing system for online learning; C4E eCLIPz, a platform for video and document sharing and communication; and C4E Inji, an AI-based application that creates quizzes, flashcards, and study guides (to be launched in the fall of 2021). Moreover, C4E provides EdTech services such as instructional design, and multimedia and virtual reality/augmented reality content creation, and online courses in various academic disciplines, as well as professional training for students and employees. C4E’s online academic courses have been adopted at more than 400 educational institutions annually.

In April 2021, C4E partnered with EVA Aviation to promote, distribute, and support C4E’s C4E Bridge, C4E Studio (unreleased), and Cyber Security 101 products in Japan. The company introduced Call.Push.Shock, an interactive online lifesaving skills training curriculum for individuals of all ages (from kindergartners to senior citizens), schools, and organizations in collaboration with Starting Hearts, a non-profit organization that provides training programs to treat sudden cardiac arrest victims. In May 2021, the company launched OnMusic Companion (OMC), a teaching and learning platform containing a range of resources including content libraries and tools that allow teachers to create, deliver, and manage music courses for their students. The platform will be available in the fall of 2021 after several colleges run pilot programs during the summer. C4E also partnered with Bloomsbury Publishing to convert its Fairchild Books fashion textbooks into online courses.
