Wildgood

Founded in 2020, Wildgood produces artisanal plant-based ice creams by using extra virgin olive oil in combination with organic flavor ingredients (ground coffee, Alphonso mango, and Oregon hazelnuts), fructose, plant-based protein, fibers, and emulsifiers. The company uses “good fats” found in olive oil to replicate the creamy texture found in conventional dairy ice cream. The ice cream range is available in vanilla bean, chocolate, coffee, mango, chocolate hazelnut, mint chocolate chip, pistachio, sea salt caramel, and caramelized fig flavors. The company claims its products have the lowest saturated fat content of any ice cream category (plant-based or conventional) with only 2 grams per serving. It also contains 40% fewer calories than leading dairy ice cream brands.

The ice cream range is available on the Wildgood online store as well as US Sprout Farmers Market locations nationwide, select Whole Foods market locations, Publix, Wegmans, and other retailers.

Funding and finanicals

In February 2021, the company raised USD 5 million in a funding round.
