Spline, a Y Combinator graduate, offers a no-code platform that enables users to create and modify 3D objects and add interactivity (such as game controls) and animations. Users can create assets from scratch or use pre-made objects and export them directly from their web browser. Furthermore, the platform allows users to create real-time physics simulations and interactions between various assets.
The platform provides real-time collaboration tools, allowing multiple users to work on a project simultaneously to facilitate collaboration between designers, developers, and other team members. Furthermore, Spline offers editing and commenting features that enable users to provide feedback and iterate on designs.
Spline's beta version was launched in early March 2023. It has also expanded its range of tools by integrating AI-style transfer and AI texture features. Additionally, as of July 2023, it was exploring the use of prompts with large language models for content creation purposes.
Funding and financials
In July 2023, it raised USD 15 million in seed funding led by Gradient Ventures. The company earmarked the funding to support its R&D efforts and expand its existing team of 20 employees.
