Sweden-based TigerQ offers sample-to-analysis gene editing solutions to facilitate novel gene editing therapies. The company assists gene editing companies by providing next-generation sequencing (NGS) analytics services to assess and validate gene editing processes and identify the genetic outcomes of a therapy. This enables companies to gauge the level of risks associated with gene editing therapies and ways to tackle them, resulting in more effective treatments.

The company’s NGS offerings include gene editing applications such as targeted DNA/RNA sequencing and amplicon sequencing. The NGS analysis is reportedly capable of providing partners with 10x greater detection range and a 4x lower error rate in their analysis. It also offers customized workflows specific to customer requirements and generates results within a week’s time.

Funding and financials

In March 2021, TigeQ raised around EUR 1 million (USD 1 million) in a seed funding round from SmiLe Incubator. The funds were intended to be used on accelerating the development of its technologies and commercialization.
