Henchman is a legal technology company based in Belgium that provides an intelligent contract drafting solution. The platform works by indexing and enriching contract documents stored in a company's document management system (DMS) at the clause level. This eliminates the need for time-consuming manual searches through multiple files and folders.

Henchman's technology is language and system agnostic, compatible with both legal-specific DMS providers and general enterprise content management systems. It mirrors user permissions from the DMS, ensuring that the right practice groups have access to the appropriate sources while maintaining data security and privacy.

The solution requires minimal setup effort and can be deployed within days, enabling customers to leverage their existing contract databases – even those containing millions of documents – without any tedious manual categorization. Since its launch in June 2021, Henchman has experienced rapid adoption, achieving 750% revenue growth and attracting over 170 customers across 15 countries by June 2024.

In June 2024, Henchman announced its acquisition by LexisNexis Legal & Professional, a leading provider of legal information and analytics solutions. The acquisition aims to combine Henchman's document enrichment capabilities with LexisNexis' drafting guidance content and generative AI technologies, delivering personalized drafting solutions to customers worldwide.
