Continuum Technology

Continuum Technology (Continuum) operates an on-demand marketplace that connects startups with top-level freelance executives across a range of verticals such as marketing, finance, engineering, product development, and others. 

The platform handles the startup’s outbound recruitment efforts by hosting profiles of executives who can work 15–20 hours per week and claims to match them within 48 hours. The freelance executives, who’ve had prior experience in firms like Netflix, Slack and Tesla, set their hourly rate and availability with the option to accept or reject projects. Continuum also handles the back-office management of the executives, including contracts, invoicing, taxes, and payouts.

In July 2022, the company released a new product to support companies with layoffs, which will allow leadership teams to connect with an HR executive who will devise a communication plan, conduct diversity and impact analysis, and support operational tasks associated with layoffs. The product offers one hour of consultation free of charge, and pricing is determined by the company’s employee headcount. 

Continuum charges a commission of 15% in addition to the executives’ hourly pay.

As of October 2024, the company had over 150 enterprises using its platform, notably including Beacons, Miro and Skydio.
